Each year, the New England Translators Association (NETA) holds the largest annual translation and interpreting conference in the region, bringing together over 200 translators, interpreters, project managers, and other language professionals.
Join us in 2019 for a day filled with learning, networking, and collaborating. The conference is once again held in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Boston, at its beautiful Campus Center. The date is Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 8:30 am to 6 pm.
Registration includes all meals, a keynote and endnote presentation, a full schedule of presentations by seasoned interpreters and translators from around the region and the country, a reception and prize drawing at the end, and an academic track led by university students and professors.
Our theme this year is Innovation from Within: Interpreters and Translators Shaping the Present and Future of the Field. Our keynote speaker is Jonathan Levy, a professional educator and language services consultant based in Arizona. His talk is entitled "The Linguist as Analyst: Where Expertise Adds Value." Our endnote speaker is Ewandro Magalhães, a senior diplomatic interpreter and former chief interpreter of a United Nations agency. He is based in New York City, and his talk is about personal branding for interpreters and translators.
Don't miss this opportunity to interact face-to-face with the most active and committed T&I professionals in New England, allowing you to expand your business contacts, stay updated on new developments in the field, and develop lasting professional relationships.
